Errors in the KJV (and often Challoner DRA)

An introductory note to Catholics

In the English language, Catholics are told that the Challoner Douay-Reims Bible is a preferred, Catholic alternative to the KJV and other protestant bibles. This is not true, as Jimmy Akins explains well (!). Even officially Catholic bibles have modernist corruption creeping in since the 1500's. The original Douay, however, is a good, Catholic alternative, though available only to very rich people or those with the patience to use a purely electronic edition online.

Be furthermore reminded that it is (as far as I can tell) a very direct and faithful literal translation of the Latin Vulgate, without modern and valid improvements. St. Jerome's magnum opus xxx, being as early a text as it is, is actually based on superior quality manuscripts. Regarding the Greek tradition (erroneously called "septuagint"): one tends to assume that modern bibles have the advantage of new and extensive archeology and textual analysis, but the "Aleph" manuscript reference of modern times is a patent fraud (as well as the other two Alexandrian codices).

And btw, for all their insanity, the KJV onlyists like David W. Daniels are actually correct that there was never any pre-Christian, organized Septuagint. The "Alexandrian" (Egyptian) codices are frauds as presented, and form the material out of which much of the post-1850 "LXX" concoctions like the Brenton are invented. Yet they contain some random parts of the OT translated into Greek over history (even into medieval times), and they can on occasion be a valuable reference.

Furthermore, thousands of priceless manuscripts have been destroyed through the centuries (e.g., the mooselimbs destroying the Alexandrian library, or King Henry VIII burning down 318 monasteries etc. etc.). Therefore, knowing your Latin for the Vulgate is equally as important and Hebrew or Greek to understanding biblical stories and passages. Websites that catalog the DSS, samaritan and Peshitta texts are also enlightening when researching intriguing biblical conundrums.

Unfortunately for most Catholics today, we are in fact reading what is largely the KJV (Challoner "Douay-Reims"), so what follows is first the low-hanging fruit, the KJV onlyists, then a more detailed criticism of its text, which remains highly relevant today.

[img kjv-onlyists: daniels, texe marrs, steven anderson...] caption: The KJV-only mind virus

When mouth-breathing imbecile, pharisee NPCs - KJV fanboys - are faced with simple, powerful disproof, their pea-brains pop from the logical pressure. For example, imagine their consternation when its second edition in 1631 rendered Exodus 21 xxx as Thou shalt commit adultery. However not even this, nor anything, could possibly impede the bisexual King James virus from rotting their minds. Invoking unicorns six times (?), "mining bronze", confounding Shoel and Ghenna, twenty-four different grades of grape juice as "wine", slopping down "meat" instead of "food", glossing over all of the 850+ official errors in the Masoretic Text, reversing sacred, one and a half millenia Church interpretation to intimate seductive changes, claiming the holy sacraments "aren't in the Bible"...all sloppily committed by this bizarre "kjv-only" computer program, rivalled only by blue-haired feminists and college "edjumacated" sheboons.

Consider the strange incident when the vicious anime masterbator James White debated rando-screamer Stephen Anderson in his gaudy, modernut home. White made the valid, strangely human point that the KJV cross-eyed copyists themselves, in the 1611 introduction, humbly state that their work is fallible and needs comparison with other versions. Stevie "Protbot" Anderson throws up his hands, force quits validpoint.exe and simply opens another window. Imagine the materialism, pride and modernism necessary to claim that every last word of this shakespearean, massonic-glossed cultural bulldozer of a tome is the epitome of perfection! It's no less clownish than a "trans woman"'s raving assertions.

And where'd you get this book, Schlomo poser? You, with your cultural desert "church"/classroom/sin-agog in a wooden box, some material emanation of your blank, sheeple mind. These Anderson-like mini-popes, denying the solidity of sacred scripture, brought to us by thousands of literal martyrs, and the Church founded by Christ himself for 1600 years in favor of some wobbly experiment hacked out during the bloody and tumultuous 1600's. Look man. That joo collaborator and megalomaniac over there...follow his improvisation of this anglican interpretation, or forever be accused of "believing the words of man", instead of the words of "God" (i.e., the long-nosed, little Nimrod himself).

Thus here, in spite of the KJV's seeming relatively traditional and old-school compared to the generally less-popular new bibles, which are often somehow yet further corrupted, I'm compiling a list of the KJV's errors, omissions and agendas. This keystone of "prot-istute", "im-prot-vised", and deracinated block of wood pulp which "work ethic" robots have managed to fashion into a giant Shiva phallus they all lube up on Sundays - it is precisely this that is the bull's-eye of this 1) critique and 2) limited list of its myriad errors.

The Critique

Honestly, I'm learning about errors in bible translation every day, mostly from the KJV, so this list will be a work in progress. That said, if you find a version that has all the books plus extensive notes of decent caliber, much of this can be made up for, and your version can yet come alive.

The KJV, like Stanley Kubrick's moon landings in 1969, is rife with feeling and style, but a Jeep CJ-6 cobbled together with aluminum lawn chairs in substance. Claiming only the Masoretic Text (MT) for the OT basis, they had again shown the grand prot tendency to believe modern jooz over ancient Whites. And indeed, the KJV team hired full, public jooz, Philip Ferdinand and John Immanuel Tremellius, as OT helper-goblins. Further, at least in the MT's omissions and 850 auto-admitted errors, one could seek out other manuscripts for help, but today, its poetic style and omission of the fraudulent Sinaiticus as a base text keeps it relevant. Yet it is decidedly "jewish" in 1) it's OT, 2) its claiming of the deutero-canonicals as "apocrypha" according to more recent jooish custom 3) its protestantism (inspired by (((Reuchlin))) et al. 4) its being in the public domain outside the UK and without the deutero-canonicals (since 1820), which significantly saves on printing costs and boosts profits.

In the remformation (menstrual) period, there were many interpretations in English already printed, also with a protestant/jewish agenda, by various violent and devisive cucks, chancers positioning themselves on the chessboard of White, Christian politics in hopes of becoming the next, greatest mini-pope or bohemian guru. The KJV xxxclaims to be a sort of censored, denuded "Bishops' Bible" (which followed the "Great Bible"), i.e. with most of the margin notes burned off as the eminent fudge-packer, King James I, wanted it. Yet, as with much that regards the KJV, even that seems to be a misrepresentation concerning this linguistic and cultural "great reset".

Initial demolition

Like the farce of the world's fairs and inexplicable arson of especially America's greatest cities, the KJV comes rolling in with a crane and demolition ball, paving over the following terms (for starters):

A) The 3 different Greek words "KOSMOS", "AION" and "OIKOUMENE" are all at times translated by the one English word "WORLD".

B) The 3 different Greek words "GEHENNA", "HADES" and "TARTAROO" are all at times translated by the one English word "HELL".

C) The 3 different Greek words "THERION", "ZOON" and "KTENOS" are all at times translated by the one English word "BEAST".

D) The 2 different Greek words "AGAPE" and "PHILEO" are both at times translated by the one English word "LOVE".

E) The 2 different Greek words "APISTEO" and "APEITHEO" are both at times translated by the English expression "BELIEVE NOT".

F) The 2 different Greek words "OIKOS" (also other words derived from OIKOS) and "THERAPEIA" are both at times translated by the one English word "HOUSEHOLD".

Next, at times a Greek word is, without any justification, given a meaning totally different from its normal meaning. This was done purely to keep the translators prejudices intact. For example:

A) The Greek word "PASCHA" is used 29 times; 28 times it is correctly rendered as "PASSOVER", but one time (in Acts 12:4) it is incorrectly translated as "EASTER".

B) The Greek word "KOSMOS" is used 183 times; 182 times it is correctly rendered as "WORLD", but one time (in 1 Peter 3:3) it is incorrectly translated as "ADORNING".

C) The Greek word "THERAPEIA" is used 4 times; twice it is correctly rendered as "HEALING", since it is derived from the verb "THERAPEUO", which means "to heal". But twice (in parallel Scriptures) it is incorrectly translated as "HOUSEHOLD" ... in Matthew 24:45 and in Luke 12:42, basically because the word's correct meaning didn't make any sense to the translators in these two verses.

Sloppy KJV

The past few years I've been learning Hebrew and Greek, and one of the big surprises I've had about the old KJ is how insanely sloppy it is. In fact, the very first line, Genesis 1:1, contains two glaring errors: "the" in "the beginning" is not original and at best should be italicised as an addition. Two, "heaven" should be "heavens", plural. And boy oh boy, we're just getting started.

Burger "1611"

A side note concerning American ("Burger") KJV fanatics: they never have the actual (unreadable) 1611 KJV, and since 1820 their wood-pulp idols have had the intertestamentals censored out of them. This was done for pure-stein profit-berg: 1) a royalty-free, public domain text 2) ink and pages saved 3) the world's best-selling book - cha-ching! and 4) some "jooish council" (Jamnia) in 90 AD rejected the deutero-canonicals. Though that council never happened, this still reflects the general truth that when a prot wants to get all traditional, he skips the White-supremacist Early Church Fathers, Saints/martyrs etc and goes straight to the greatest ally's sin-agog, tapping a rabbi's shoulder, who turns around, beard smeared with fresh infant's genitals blood, who grins at the opportunity to reprogram such a nice goy.

KJV General errors

Gnostic promotion

The linguistic and cultural gulf between the asiatic Hebrew and western Greco-Roman mindset creates a mirage of different or even an opposite OT and NT. Furthermore, there are over 200 OT prophecies that are fulfilled in the NT which, along with Catholic sacraments, have been deleted or softened in the jooish MT of the 900's AD. Add to that the 1820 deletion of the intertestamentals, and over 400 years of history and culture that also connects everything vanishes without a trace. Therefore, from all the way back to around 150 AD, nons and subs like Marcion (a kind of turk) have been claiming that the two halves are somehow separate, the first written by Satan and the second by God (but not Yahweh).

Only recently has archeology acknowledged that Jesus and the apostles, along with all judeans, spoke Hebrew, and probably through the 400's AD. It's also been established that practically the whole Bible was originally written in Hebrew [1], but after all the transliterations in Greek and English present in bibles, readers don't understand that the OT Yahweh, El and other key hebraic concepts are ever-present and important in the NT, as in Yashua (Jesus, "Yah[weh] Saves"), halleluyah ("praise Yah"), hosannah, amen ("so be it"), plus all the personal names like El-izabeth, Micha-El, Yo-chanan (John), Matit-yahu (Matthew), Jo-siah, El-i-Yah-oo (Elijah), Jeremiah, Thomas ("twin"), Nathan (He gave), Adam (the [White] blusher, of the red earth) etc. etc. Most of these names are commonly used as European names, which should make a direct connection in our minds to biblical culture, but most of us don't even remember what our own names mean, and no, we're not worshipping jooz with these names. Also ironically, and in conclusion, there are hundreds of Hebrew transliterations in the NT which readers generally don't understand and will never find out.

The KJV and other interpretations only further bolster the apparent OT-NT "divide" with the shocking practice of never translating any personal or locational nouns, which form the majority of all nouns in the entire Bible (!!). Thus, when understanding Hebrew names, the prophetic and cultural old-to-new connections jump off the page. Like the name Benjamin actually means "the son of My right hand", an obvious prophecy of Jesus. Also, from the Christian identity debate, Jacob's uncle is named White ("Laban"), from whom the world's entire White bloodline originates. Thus, Hebrew doesn't have special words for names, i.e., all of these untranslated nouns have, by definition, important literal meanings that explain the story. Ironically, the most-popular KJV is generally not translated. Imagine that!

Other words are not in fact names, but titles or adjectives - and they go mistranslated. In greco-roman culture, the Hebrew word "satan" (challenger) morphed into meaning "the devil" or "the evil one". The marcionites/gnostics see that "Malakh Yahweh", the Angel of God, sometimes challenges biblical protagonists, and thus conclude that Yahweh is actually the devil. Later in Matthew 16:19, Jesus hands Peter the keys to the Church, but Peter pushes back against Christ's future crucifixion, promting Jesus to rebuke him as a challenger (satan in Hebrew, not English, Matt 16:23, Mark 8:33). But the protsitute KJV makes the absurd claim that Peter is being called Satan with a capital S in English. This seemingly minor detail has blown up into vast, gnostic rebellions and war throughout history.

Sometimes untranslated names, in Judges 14:3: [lit.] "[Sunshine] was seeking a fig from the Trespassers" gets rendered "[Samson] was seeking an occasion against the Philistines". You can see how the personal names here would be important titles to understanding the text (especially considering that Delilah means "doorway to the moon"). The literal Hebrew here, as everywhere, reveals a whole different and amazing layer of meaning.

Jooish bias

The KJV (and others) often reflect a post-Christian, jewish bias, i.e., Samson is considered to be disobedient and even lusty. Also in Judges 14:3: Sunshine says of his desired Trespasser wife: "she pleaseth me well" (KJV), instead of what is written, "she is upright in my eyes". Btw, "in my eyes" בעיני is left completely untranslated. Here we see that KJV is following jooish custom in accusing Sunshine of being lusty and unhinged, when at least on a literal level in this part of the text, it's saying quite the opposite (e.g., that he's seeking a trad wife).

Authentic Hebrew culture was chaste and sexually-controlled, and thus a young, unmarried woman was synonymous with a virgin, i.e. "alma" in Hebrew (Isa 7:14). Also, in Exodus 22:16, the word "lo orasa" (lit., not betrothed, virgin) is left as just "maid" (betula), though it was correctly rendered in Gen 24:16. (Jooz don't understand virginity). Other jooish-bias in the KJV:

Deuteronomy 32:8 "Sons of Israel" instead of "Sons of Elohim". Israel/Jacob hadn't even been born yet. The "Sons of Elohim" at the time hadn't yet become the satanic council, and are certainly a group to watch in the biblical narrative. KJV could've found the correct name by referencing literally any other manuscript than the MT.

Other MT-based errors:

As stated above, there are 850 self-admitted errors in the MT, and the KJV generally choses to gloss over them. Below are just a few examples.

Genesis 4:8 "And Cain talked with Abel his brother" instead of "And Cain said to his brother Abel:". The MT anticipates a missing quote, and the KJV, instead of finding that quote in another manuscript, dishonestly glosses over the MT error. The quote is found, however, in the Greek and Samaritan texts - simply (https://intertextual.bible/text/genesis-4.8-samaritan-genesis-4.8) : "Let us go out into the field." (Source: [1]

Leviticus 20:10 the entire phrase "a man commits adultery with the wife" is duplicated (source: see above).

Psalm 145:13 "Yahweh is faithful in all His words, and gracious in all His deeds" is completely omitted. This verse being an acrostic, this line has to be there. This second half of the verse is absent from the primary MT but is included in the Greek, Syriac, Dead Sea Scrolls, and Vulgate. Most modern translations include it, often in brackets or footnotes, acknowledging its presence in ancient textual witnesses.

Isaiah 53:11 the KJV incorrectly has "from the labor of his soul, he will see, he will be satisfied" instead of "from the labor of his soul, he will see light and he will be satisfied". (Original is found in the DSS et. al.)

....

Grave errors with cultural ramifications

Exodus 20:4 KJV has "Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth", which preposterously bans all fine arts in general. This is a problem in many versions, including the Vulgate. In contrast, the command to include literal sculptures in the Tabernacle is found in Exodus 25:18-20, where God instructs Moses to make two cherubim (four animals in one representing the tribes of Israel) of hammered gold. Additionally, Exodus 26:1 commands the creation of ten curtains for the tabernacle’s interior, which were to feature cherubim made through cunning work (embroidery or artistic design), further integrating sculptural or artistic representations into the sanctuary's structure. The solution to this textually is that pesel in Hebrew also means "idol", which would naturally be the true meaning and best rendering here.

Exodus 20:7 in the KJV makes it like "don't cuss" or "don't use God's name when venting frustration" would somehow fit in this list of commandments, whereas the Hebrew uses the word "bear", (not the word "take", latet), i.e., don't bear My name in vain, i.e., don't be a hypocrite, a commandment which logically sits nicely between the surrounding commandments.

Exodus 20:13 has "kill" instead of "murder". Pagan vegans love quoting this from the KJV.

Luke 1:28: “Hail Mary, thou that art highly favoured.” It actually says "full of grace" (κεχαριτωμένη), which connects to St. Stephen and Jesus Christ (though underlining the continuance of this state, and giving it to her as a title and declaration (therefore) of Mary's permanant character, confirming the immaculate conception. This KJV change is therefore very political and anti-chastity in nature.

Luke 17:34 has "two men in bed". It is a fact that King James was "bisexual" and is registered in Scotland as a freemason (as King James the VI). Some might try to explain this coincidence away by saying that the situation in the passage describes workers, and co-workers, family members etc often shared beds in that time period. That's not really the problem here. The original text, whether you prefer Hebrew, Greek or Latin, has "two". Just "two". Did God know that especially in our age, saying "two men in bed" would elicit images of poo pushers? In any case, do not add nor subtract from sacred scripture. There is a reason for everything.

"Muh KJV", the zio Burger-cope

The KJV is ultimately a protestant bible, which, as we have seen, is heavily jooish. This explains part of the saying: protestants are zionists, and modern Catholics are globalists. (And traditional Catholics should be National Socialists. Trads should be supportive of all the crusades and any defense of Christendom, which includes Austrian Painter's).

Ultimately the fate of each group depends on how it interprets real, ancient, White-civilization scripture. Those who read fake scriptures, who don't even understand the vast supremacy of biblical textual quality and historical significance over the various claimed scribblings of booga-boogas and ching-chongs outside of it, are clearly in the camp of "nons and subs", i.e., animals. And btw, allegedly, the lake of fire isn't reserved for them, but rather, Yahweh simply doesn't care about them that much, and they'll simply cease to exist when dead, just as animals do.
